Get Their Badge Number

Hello fellow zobopians!  I know what you’re thinking.  I should do more blog posts.  Yes, you’re right!  But Twitter is so addictive and convenient.  But I have something to say to the world.  Well, at least to my fellow American’s.

Dear Black American’s,

If white people are going to call the police on Black citizens whoa re doing NOTHING or doing mundane activities, then we as Black American’s must always ask or demand to SEE a badge number!  It’s for future reference on commendations or complaints.  I’m guessing it’ll mostly be for complaints.

And another thing…

I don’t think the majority of American police officers should be allowed to remain on the police force longer than ten years. The financial cost of sustaining these pensioned police officers becomes so enormous.  Plus, there’s the reality of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that ‘some’ of these officers are suffering from.  I find it disturbing that police officers with PTSD are policing communities of color who themselves may also suffer with PTSD.  [PTSD on PTSD?]

P.S.  What’s with white people calling the cops on Black citizens anyway?  Jim Crow mentality?

Black Lives Don’t Matter, I Think?

Well hello fellow zobopians!  Yep, I’m still blogging!  It’s still 2016 in the 21st century and I’m still waiting for my 2001 space odyssey.  We’re 15 years overdue for it!  Oh well, on to pressing matters on Earth.

BlackLivesMatter

Black lives haven’t mattered since…the mid-1990’s.  I blame the Zero-Tolerance policies of those 1990’s.  Instead of sending Black students to the principal’s office, and calling the parent(s), they’re sent to the police station.  Instead of suspending Black students, with a crap-load of homework to be completed upon returning, they’re expelled from the school never to return.  [Good luck you charter schools.]

Yeah…I don’t think Black Lives Matter.  In this world Freedom without Security is useless.  You can say #BlackLivesMatter all you want.  We will always be looking over our shoulders for the rest of our lives.

Black lives, obviously, don’t matter when lives are being lost everyday.  When someone gets killed by police who intentionally sought to deprive someone of their constitutional rights — you can’t get justice!  When someone gets killed by police due to incompetence, bad training or mistakes — you can’t get justice!

You can’t win for losing your lives!

P.S. : In 1857, Chief Justice Roger Taney declared that, black men “had no rights which the white man was bound to respect.”  Like I said above, Freedom without Security is useless.

Until neXt time…

The Whole World’s Recording

Hello fellow zobopians!  The whole world’s watching!  But who’s watching the watchers?  What difference does it make?  It’s all being captured on video!  Killers are being caught on video.  People getting killed are captured on video.  The revolution WILL NOT be televised!  It will get recorded and be available for downloading to be watched over and over again at your convenience.

But…here’s the thing…

When a Black person gets shot and/or killed by police, does anyone see it?  Never mind having “the talk” with your son or daughter when coming in contact with the police.  What Black Americans need to talk about is, do you have a dashboard camera or your own personal body camera ready?  That’s the talk we need to be having.

KeepFilmingCops

The importance of recording the police is deadly serious.  (After all, they’re recording us citizens.)  There are three [3] deadly grounds for Black people when we come into contact with police:

-Order Of Survivability-

  1. You can get shot and/or killed in the street or in the vehicle.  [Eric garner – killed on sidewalk; Alton Sterling – shot in the street; Philando Castile – shot in car.]
  2. You can get shot and/or killed in the police vehicle; ( if you survive the first deadly ground scene.)  [Freddie Gray – killed in police van during “rough ride”.]
  3. You can die in the jail house or jail-holding cell; ( that is if you survive the first & second deadly grounds.)  [Sandra Bland – suspiciously died while in waiting in jail.]

Gone are the days of the 1960’s slogan, “the whole world’s watching”.  The police of the 21st century need to be kept under watch.  The only way we’re going to do that is to keep recording them.  If the police are going to keep “shooting to kill” us, then we need to keep “shooting to record” them just so we can have proof and evidence of what happened.  We can’t always rely on the police to provide evidence when they cover-up or delay proof or disable their tax-payer paid recording equipment.

KEEP RECORDING!  Freedom without security is useless!

Until neXt time…

Flip Flop Politics

———————————————————–
Republicans and Democrats are now one and the same.

Before the Civil Rights Movement Republicans were for equality and civil rights, anti-slavery, and freedom in the true meaning of the word. {Blacks used to vote Republican as a majority.} Democrats on the other hand were anti-equality, anti-Black, and pro-slavery.

During the civil Rights Movement something profound happened. The two major political parties flip-flopped on each other. the prejudiced Dixiecrats (Southern Democrats) moved over to become Republicans and pro-democracy Republicans became modern-day Democrats. Confused? This is why America needs a rival third political party. But NOT the Tea Party. They’re just glorified right-wing fringe conservatives.
