United We Stand Our Ground

Are we united? Divided we fall!

Some people can’t handle the truth; even when they ask for it.

If you want the blue pill of blissful ignorance, then stop reading and go back where you linked from. If you can swallow the bitter red pill of the “facts“, then…

There’s always something that comes along to ruin American race relations. (O.J. Simpson, Trayvon Martin, etc.) The Civil Rights movement has taken a wrong turn sometime after the death of Dr. Martin L. King Jr.

Dr. King wanted a color-blind society, (i.e. judge people by the content of their character). [zobop commentary: White people may not judge Black persons by their character but Blacks can and should judge ‘everyone’ by the content of their character. Very important.]

Today’s Black leaders are divisive and bitter; they race-bait, blame, and tell lies and other ‘error of omission’, thereby betraying Dr. King’s vision of a Civil Rights movement. Isn’t it time we the people get back on track to Dr. Kings vision of the future?

R U Tired Of Trayvon Martin?

According to a study by Pew Research Center, Republicans and whites are “tired” of the coverage of the death of Trayvon Martin.

56 percent of Republicans believe its been too much coverage.  Really?  I think George Zimmerman has been given too much of a helping hand by the U.S. media!  Dead persons can’t talk, so we the people must speak for the ones that can’t speak.

Are you tired of Trayvon Martin?

Silly Questions

Why is it that some Black people are asked,  “What are you?”

… and …

Why is it that some Asian people are asked, “Where are you from?”

Here’s a question, when are we going to stop asking silly @ss questions and focus on what’s really important in our society?

If You’re Black; Check Your Alarm

Like a Henry L. Gates moment (when police were called for breaking into his own house),  L.A. Angels center fielder Torii Hunter had a loaded gun aimed at him on April 4th, 2012 in response to a triggered house alarm.  This happened in front of his house!

Scratching Ted Nugent

Rocker Ted Nugent recently made some anti-Obama

statements that the U.S. Secret Service sit up and take notice.  He was questioned and allowed to go.

As far as I’m concerned Ted Nugent should not be allowed to come to Chicago, IL on June 24th, 2012 for a concert at the Charter One Pavilion.  No one should be able to make anti-President statements without some repercussions.

Charter One needs to be shamed in public!

In regards to the Trayvon Martin shooting:

The legal system is testing whether a non-black person can murder a Black person and get away with it. Law enforcement agencies from the F.B.I. to local police are by duty obligated to enforce the law.

If the “stand your ground” is a legal statute, then the legal system is testing the U.S. Constitution and thereby is testing the limits of American citizens. How much will the people tolerate?

“Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them.”

What Black Wealth?

Are the wealthy Black Americans part of the 1% or the 13%?

After 42-plus years since the Civil Rights era, Black America can produce only one Black American billionaire: Oprah Winfrey $2.7B; #442 in the area of Television.

Out of 1,226 people on the Forbes’s 2012 list of the world’s billionaires, only four(4) are Black. Oprah being the only U.S. citizen, the other five(5) are from the African continent. Two(2) are from Nigeria, one(1) is from south Africa. [There are others from Africa but they’re not considered Black.] Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of wealthy Black people in the world but we only consider the one’s who have power and/or political clout.

Economic circumstances robbed Black America of previous billionaires, [i.e. divorce, bad business decisions, bankruptcy, death.]

So the question is, how can Blacks create wealth if Blacks don’t create it?
