In keeping with the spirit of Black History 365 I should share and remind you of things that people may not know about American slavery.
Since the United States is observing the 150th anniversary of the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln and other PBS programs of the era, I figured other information the subject wouldn’t hurt.

That was an interesting read, if not unsettling on how it showed the “positive” results of slavery. I loved how it said the reason slaves were beaten was because their revolts were financially bad for business. You don’t say? Once again, interesting.

Thanks Janene. Unfortunately cheap/slave labor was and is always good business. Sophisticated justifications for slavery and the people who believed those reasons just blows my mind.
